CALDECOTE

The village is four miles south east of Atherstone, and Watling Street forms its eastern boundary and divides Warwickshire from Leicestershire. The Hall was the scene of action during the Civil War, as its owner, Colonel Purefoy, was a strong supporter of the Parliamentary cause.
