FENNY COMPTON

The village lies about eight miles north of Banbury just off the main Coventry to Banbury road. It is on the lower slopes of the Burton Dassett hills and covers an extensive area. There were quarries nearby producing a brown stone from which many of the buildings were constructed. The church of St.Peter and St.Clare dates from the fourteenth century.
