MAXSTOKE

The small village lies three miles south east of Coleshill and has a number of houses and cottages up to three hundred years old. The church dates from the fourteenth century. Maxstoke Castle, built in 1345 as a fortified manor house has been restored and has been owned by the Dilke family since 1589.
