MORTON BAGOT

Morton Bagot is a very small parish and there is virtually no village. The church lies three and a half miles south west of Henley-in-Arden, but has the distinction of being unrestored, the building dating from 1300, but the wooden bell turret was erected about 1600. The manor was held by William Bagot in the reign of Edward 1 and it is from him that the parish takes its name.
