OFFCHURCH

The village is five miles north east of Warwick and is traditionally believed to have been named after Offa, King of Mercia A.D. 757-796; indeed Offa was said to have been buried there. Saxon burials of about A.D.650 have been discovered. The urban development of Leamington Spa almost reaches the village.
