WHATCOTE

The village is just over four miles north east of Shipston-upon-Stour and enjoys seclusion away from a main road. A bomb, jettisoned by a German bomber on the night of the great Coventry air raid, destroyed the small church of St.Peter built over six hundred years ago. It has been carefully restored.
