WOLVEY

Wolvey, five miles south east of Nuneaton, once had a thriving knitting industry. It is recorded that in the Middle Ages there were twenty-seven windmills in the area. Little of the old village remains, and the present church was rebuilt in the nineteenth century. Bramcote and Copston Parva were hamlets within the parish.
